Lady Cougar’s Tennis finishes the season strong. The Lady Cougars won their last three matches of the season, to end the year on a high note and give them some confidence going into next year. We have had a busy couple of weeks with matches, as well as; the 3 Seniors Lo’vea Goodwin, Kendall Bell and Megan DeWitt getting inducted into the National Honor Society this past Tuesday. The team has come along way since the beginning of the season in being more competitive in their matches, by being able to construct their points a little better to stay in matches and give themselves a chance to win. The younger players gained experience this year that should help us going into next year if they continue to play during the offseason and work on their shadow swings, to help develop better muscle memory in their swing patterns. We will need new athletic players to help take the place of the seniors that are graduating this year. Lady Cougars were able to get a clean sweep in a doubleheader against Orangeburg Wilkerson and a big win against Wade Hampton on Senior Night. I would like to thank all the parents, Athletic Director Hammond, and players for helping to make Senior Night a big success with all the posters, food, desserts and drinks.
