Colleton County Cougars Blows Out Bluffton Thanks To Big Third Inning
Colleton County Cougars knocked in five runs in the third on its way to a 7-1 victory over Bluffton on Wednesday. The rally was led by an error on a ball put in play by Cam Farnsworth and Palmer Thomas, a walk by Jackson Bell, by Grayson Cromer, and a fielder’s choice by Ben Kennedy. Dustin Hadwin led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Colleton County. The freshman pitcher went five innings, allowing just one run on two hits, striking out two and walking one. The Cougars tallied nine hits in the game. JC Poe, Bell, and Bruce Carpenter each collected multiple hits for Colleton County. Poe went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the team in hits. The Cougars did not commit a single error in the field. Farnsworth had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.
